Asus ZenFone 6 Launched Globally With Flip Top Camera

Asus ZenFone 6 launched globally on Friday. It is the latest flagship smartphone from Asus; features a full-screen display, unique top flip camera.

Not like the ZenFone 5Z which was launched last year with a huge notch, the ZenFone 6 features a full-screen display. This unique flagship phone from Asus comes at a starting price of 499 Euro.

Asus ZenFone 6 Specifications

Asus ZenFone 6 display:

The ZenFone 6 has a 6.4 inches IPS LCD, FULL HD+ display. The resolution of the display is 1080×2340 pixels, and the aspect ratio of the screen is 19:5:9.  Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protects the display, and it has 600 nits brightness. Asus ZenFone 6 display to body ratio is 92 %.

RAM and Storage:

Asus ZenFone 6 comes in two RAM and storage variants; 6GB or 8 GB Ram and 64GB or 256 GB storage. The storage can be expanded up to 2TB through microSD card.

ZenFone 6 software and processor:

The smartphone runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 processor and GPU is Qualcomm Adreno 640. This phone runs on new ZenUI 6, which is based on Android 9 Pie and offers near stock Android experience.

Asus ZenFone 6 Camera:

Asus offers top flip motorized dual camera into ZenFone 6. The primary camera is of 48 megapixels, which gets a Sony IMX586 sensor with the aperture rate of f/1.79. The secondary one is of 13-megapixel wide angle camera. The cameras do support Laser AF assist and have dual LED flash. Asus used a customized stepper motor to move the camera from front to rear. Besides the auto mover, you can manually adjust the moving of the camera. The module is made out of Liquid Metal to give the module extra strength. You can shoot 4K videos at 60 fps. The camera has HDR+ and super night mode option to enhance the low light image experience. If the phone drops from hand don’t need to get worried, The module will be retracted automatically.

For the connectivity there is 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, GPS (Dual bands, L1+L5) ,GLONASS(L1), BDS(B1) GALILEO (Dual bands, E1+E5a) QZSS (Dual bands, L1+L5), and 2x2MIMO.

The battery of ZenFone 6:

A massive 5000mAh battery has given to fuel up the phone, and it supports quick charge 4.0 at 18w.
The ZenFone 6 offers 3.5mm headphone jack and dual mics.

Pricing and availability:

The base variant of 6GB RAM and 64GB storage comes at the price of Euro 499 nearly at Rs 39,000. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant costs Euro 559, which is roughly Rs 44,000. The high-end variant has 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, which comes at Euro 599, almost Rs 47,000. The ZenFone 6 comes in two color options; Twilight Silver and Midnight Black. It features dual 5-magnet stereo speakers with dual NxP smart amps to give superior audio quality. The aluminum chassis gives a premium feel on hands.
