Amitabh Bachchan’s first-look poster out as ‘Guru’ from Brahmastra

Film director Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra is one of the most-anticipated movies of this year. After so much delay and postponements, the film is finally releasing in theatres on September 9. It stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy among others. Today, on June 9, the makers of the film unveiled Amitabh Bachchan’s first look from the film and introduced his character as ‘Guru.’

Film critic and movie trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and unveiled the motion poster of the film that sees Big B in a stunning avatar.

As we take a close look at the poster, we see the actor in a powerful avatar as he is ready to fight, with the sword of light as the weapon. With wounds on his face, Big B seems to be determined to ward off the enemy as he has intense emotions on his face.

Karan Johar shared the first-look poster and wrote, “Guru hai ganga gyaan ki. Kaate bhaav ka paash. Guru utha le astra jab, kare paap ka naash. Ek aisi Roshni jismein hai har andhere ko haraane ki Shakti. Here comes GURU! The Wise Leader who holds the PRABHSTRA: The Sword of Light! BRAHMSTRA Trailer out on JUNE 15th (sic).” read the caption.

‘Brahmastra’ is said to be a trilogy and its first part will be released in theatres in five Indian languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. It is backed by Karan Johar‘s Dharma Productions.
