Alibaba Unveiled New English Site Aiming To Double Tmall Brands

Through This New Site Alibaba Expanding Their Reach To Global Market.

Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group launched an English-language website to double the number of global brands for its Tmall market place.

They are aiming to reach the number of 40,000 international brands on the platform in the next three years.
Alibaba said in a statement that they want to make Tmall more attractive and accessible for small and medium-sized brands from other countries. Currently, Tmall hosts 20,000 international brands and covers 777 countries.

Yi Qian, deputy general manager, Tmall Global said, “We believe the launch of this English-language website will expedite the process for brands and merchants to introduce their products to Chinese consumers.”

“The website will widen our reach to merchants, especially to those medium and small sized businesses around the world,” Yi asked in an interview. “We will help them with our logistics and marketing services.
Yi said, through the Tmall’s new website English speaking merchants need to fill the details about their product. Then Alibaba will examine them according to their category, quality and then will contact them within 72 hours.
