Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Bell Bottom’ to release in theatres on August 19
Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar on Friday announced that his much-awaited spy thriller, “Bell Bottom”, is all set to release on August 19 in theatres.
Earlier, the film was slated to release on July 27. Akshay took to social media to make the grand announcement along with a new poster.
Sharing the news on Twitter, Akshay wrote, “Mission: To Entertain you on the BIG SCREEN. Date: August 19, 2021. Announcing the arrival of #BellBottom! #BellBottomInCinemasAug19 (sic).”

The film ‘Bell Bottom’ is directed by Ranjit M Tewari, the spy thriller was shot extensively in Scotland. It is written by Aseem Arrora and Parveez Shaikh. Produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, and Nikkhil Advani.
‘Bell Bottom’ is a spy thriller set in the 80s and is based on the plane hijacks that took India by storm back then.
Apart from Akshay Kumar, the film also stars, Huma Qureshi, Vaani Kapoor, and Lara Dutta.
On the work front, Akshay has interesting films in the pipeline. He will be seen in ‘Raksha Bandhan’, ‘Sooryavanshi’, ‘Prithviraj’, ‘Ram Setu’ and ‘Bachchan Pandey’.
