Akshay Kumar, Dhanush’s Atrangi Re to premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar on Dec 24
After much speculation, Aanand L Rai’s upcoming directorial ‘Atrangi Re’ is finally getting an OTT release. The film, featuring Akshay Kumar, Dhanush, and Sara Ali Khan in the lead roles, is set to be a Disney+ Hotstar release and will stream from December 24, 2021.
Akshay took to his social media pages and shared the first look posters of the actors along with the announcement that the trailer for the film would be out on Today.
Taking to his official Twitter handle Akshay Kumar wrote, “There is nothing more magical than a love story. Get ready to witness this one. #AtrangiRe Trailer out today on @DisneyPlusHS (sic).”

Atrangi Re, directed by Aanand L Rai, is a cross-cultural love story. It features Sara Ali Khan in a double role. She will be seen romancing Dhanush as well as Akshay in the film. The music for Atrangi Re is composed by AR Rahman. The film was scheduled to release on Valentine’s Day this year, but, as the shoot was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Now, it is all set to release on Disney+Hotstar on December 24.
