Kamal Haasan wishes his dear friend Rajinikanth a speedy recovery from surgery

Megastar Rajinikanth successfully completed a surgery called Carotid Artery Revascularization at the hospital on Friday. A top official of Kauvery Hospital said that the actor is recovering quickly and is likely to be discharged from the hospital in a few days.

Rajinikanth was admitted to Kauvery Hospital in Chennai on October 28. On October 29, Kauvery Hospital shared a statement about the actor’s health.

In a statement, Dr Aravindan Selvaraj, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Kauvery Hospital said that he was examined by an expert panel team of doctors and he was advised to undergo carotid artery revascularization surgery. Dr Selvaraj also said the procedure was done successfully and he was recovering. He was likely to be discharged from the hospital after a few days.

Kamal Haasan, who has been best friends with Rajinikanth for decades, took to Twitter to wish him a speedy recovery. His tweet in Tamil is translated as saying, “My dear friend who has been admitted to the hospital @rajinikanth I wish you a speedy recovery and return home in perfect health (sic).”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Rajinikanth is waiting for the release of his upcoming film, Annaatthe. Directed by Siruthai Siva, the film will release in theatres on November 4, on the occasion of Diwali. Produced by Sun Pictures, the film stars Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Meena, Khushbu, and Prakash Raj.
