Vivo Y72 5G launched with MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC

Chinese smartphone brand Vivo has unveiled a new Y series smartphone called Vivo Y72 5G in Thailand. The newly launched 5G smartphone arrives with highlighted features like Dimensity 700 chipset, triple rear camera setup, massive battery, and a lot more among others.

Vivo Y72 5G specifications and features:

The phone features a 6.58-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,408 pixels) LCD IPS display along with a waterdrop notch design. It offers a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 90.6 percent screen-to-body ratio. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, paired with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. It will be running on Android 11.1 based Funtouch OS 11 software.

Coming to the camera features, the Vivo Y72 5G comes with a triple rear camera set up that includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor coupled with an f/1.79 lens. There is an 8-megapixel secondary camera with an f/2.2 ultrawide lens that has a 120-degree field-of-view and a 2-megapixel macro shooter with an f/2.4 lens housed in a rectangular module along with an LED flash. On the front, you will get a 16MP shooter for selfies and video calling with an f/2.0 lens.

In terms of battery, the phone is fuelled by a massive 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charge technology. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. In addition to this, the handset also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner on board.

Vivo Y72 5G price and availability:

The Vivo Y72 in Thailand is priced at THB 9,999 (approx Rs 23,399) for the only 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The smartphone is launched in Graphite Black and Dream Glow color options. The handset will be available for pre-booking from March 23 to March 30, and it will go on sale on March 31.
