Rajkummar Rao, Bhumi Pednekar-starrer Badhaai Do to release in January 2022

Actors Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar-starrer ‘Badhaai Do’ will release theatrically on the 2022 Republic Day weekend.

Bhumi took to her official Twitter handle on Saturday and shared a picture in where she is sitting on a white bench and shares smile with her co-actor Rajkummar Rao and the film’s director Harshavardhan Kulkarni.

She added the captions, “Theatre ready… Aap ready… Toh hum bhi ready… Republic Day weekend 2022 ko aa rahe hain hum aapse milne in cinemas to celebrate… So save the date!! And congratulations nahi #BadhaaiDo (sic).”

Sharing the screen space for the first time, Rajkummar and Bhumi will be seen portraying interesting characters they have never played onscreen. While Raj will be essaying the role of a cop in a Mahila police thana, Bhumi plays the role of a PT teacher in the film.

Junglee Pictures’ ‘Badhaai Do’ is directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni, written by Akshat Ghildial and Suman Adhikary. The movie is scheduled to release on Republic Day weekend.
