My father says, “Patience is the key to success” – Karan Khandelwal

Mumbai: Even after spending a couple of years in the entertainment industry, it is still not easy to get a lead role. Actor Karan Khandelwal, who is playing the character role of Lucky Mishra in Dangal TV’s show Ranju Ki Betiyaan had started doing TV to pay his bills and now shares about his journey and perseverance towards his work.

Talking about perseverance and endurance towards his performance, Karan says, “It’s easy to get work but difficult to maintain yourself on that level. My attitude towards work is to have patience and just focus on your goals. I will take up all the roles that come my way because I have a certain target where I want to reach, but to achieve that I need patience, which I have learned from my father. My father always told me that no matter what, you should be focused with your work. It can take you 2 months or it may even take 5 years for you to reach till the desired goal. Sometimes I do feel bad that I haven’t been offered any lead role yet but then my father makes me understand and tells me to look at the beautiful past performances I have done. He also makes me understand that initially my roles were smaller but now I’ve got a parallel lead role which shows that I’ve done good work and I’m growing too. My father made me believe that patience is the key to success and he is my biggest motivation as well.”

Further, advising other co-stars and friends, he says, “I do advise others the same thing that we should keep working. Some people are lucky to achieve their goals early but others might take some more time. We should also keep a balanced life, going to the gym, meeting new people and talking to them, socialize but also work, because you will get new roles based on your past performance only as well as your hard work.”
