Amitabh Bachchan shares memorable wedding pic with Jaya Bachchan on 49th wedding anniversary

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is celebrating his 49th wedding anniversary with his wife and actor Jaya Bachchan today. The veteran star marked the occasion by sharing a memorable picture from their wedding day, and also thanked his fans for their wishes.

On their 49th wedding anniversary, the actor shared a throwback photo from their wedding along with a picture of himself where he can be seen bowing down his head with folded hands.

Taking to his official Twitter handle, he wrote in Hindi, “Jaya aur meri, vivah jayanti pe jo sneh aur aadar pradaan kiya gaya hai uske liye haath jod kar pranaam karta hoon. Dhanyawaad. Sab ko uttar na de payenge, iss ke liye yahaan pratikriya, prativachan, sweekar karein (I bow to you all for the love and affection on my and Jaya’s wedding anniversary. Thanks! Won’t be able to answer everyone, so please accept my gratitude here).”

Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan have worked in more than a dozen films together. The two fell in love while they were shooting for Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s film Guddi (1971).

The couple tied the knot on June 3, 1973, in a private ceremony, which was attended by a few friends and family members.
