‘Liger’ First Glimpse: Vijay Deverakonda packs a punch as an MMA fighter from Mumbai

As promised, on New Year’s eve, the makers of Vijay Deverakonda’s ‘Liger’ have dropped the first official glimpse from the movie.

In the glimpse, we see Vijay Deverakonda making a grand entry for MMA competition where the announcer introduces him as Liger aka ‘the boy from India, the slumdog of the streets of Mumbai and the chai wala (Tea seller)’ The 54-seconder showed Vijay in raw and action-packed avatar with his trademark Rowdy swag.

The Arjun Reddy actor took to social media to share the YouTube link to the Liger promo. He wrote, “Glimpse. That’s it. #LigerFirstGlimpse #Liger (sic).”

‘Liger’ is a boxing-based film directed by Puri Jagannadh. The Telugu-Hindi bilingual will see Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday playing lead roles. The film also features Ramya Krishnan in a pivotal role.

‘Liger’ is jointly produced by Puri Jagannadh, Charmme Kaur, and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.

The film is ready to hit the theatres on August 25, 2022, in five languages – Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
