According to Down detectors, the biggest photo-centric social media platform Instagram was down for hours in several countries.
The most affected region was India where. The problem starts at around 10 or 11 IST. People were unable to access Instagram through their Android and iOS devices. Besides, people were not able to refresh their feeds and sending DMs.
Users from cities such as Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Chennai were affected the most. However, neither Facebook nor Instagram acknowledged the issue. A couple of months ago, Instagram faced a massive outage across the globe. However, after the interruption of a couple of hours, the service resumes at around 2 PM. As people were confused whether the issue was only with them, people took it to Twitter and starts trending #instagramdown.
