New Delhi, Nov 25 (IANS) Senior Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia’s name trended on Twitter on Monday after he removed his party’s name from his bio-data.
On his official Twitter handle @JM_Scindia, he described himself as a public servant and cricket enthusiast, leading to speculation over his political future.
#JyotiradityaScindia had garnered 5,141 tweets, with users posting memes and asking if he had left the Congress.
Many among the Twitterati also claimed that Scindia had since parted ways with the Congress as he was neglected by party leadership.
One user commented: “Jyotiraditya Scindia resigned from Congress??? After meeting with PM… is this true?”
Another remarked: “These Congressis are busy in #MaharashtraPoliticalDrama. And here BJP is ready for the comeback in MP. Seems Operation Lotus is in full swing and @JM_Scindia might defect.”
A user posted: “@JM_Scindia removes Congress tag from his bio. He also resigned from the post of general secretary last month. Something is very fishy.”
One Twitter user posted that Scindia too was in the process of meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the problems of Madhya Pradesh farmers.
