Twitter to relaunch its ‘Blue Subscription’ today; Check details

The Micro-blogging platform Twitter has announced that it will relaunch its Blue subscription service from December 12.

This came after the revised prices of the subscription – $8 per month for every android, and web user, while an iOS user will have to pay $11 per month. Adding to that, Twitter has announced that it has working on the betterment of its premium features.

“we’re relaunching @TwitterBlue on Monday – subscribe on web for $8/month or on iOS for $11/month to get access to subscriber-only features, including the blue checkmark,” said Twitter on Sunday.

Here are some features of the subscription service, that is announced by Twitter:

• • Users will get a blue tick indicating their handle is verified; the tick will be given only after the account has been reviewed by Twitter.
  • A gold checkmark will replace the ‘official’ label for businesses, and a grey checkmark will replace the label for governments and government organizations.

  • Subscribers will also get access to the Edit Tweet feature, as well as higher quality video uploads (1,080p), and a ‘reader mode.’
  • Users will be able to change their handle, display name, or profile photo. However, this would lead to a temporary loss of the blue tick, as the account will again be reviewed.

Twitter Blue has previously been halted twice, once due to the US Elections and once because of impersonations that were occurring as a result of the paid official badge.
