Samsung Galaxy Tab A Kids launched with an 8.7-inch screen, and 5,100mAh battery

Samsung has launched a Galaxy Tab A7 Lite kids edition, dubbed as Samsung Galaxy Tab A Kids, which is designed especially for kids. Samsung has teamed up with a Russian children’s brand Smeshariki for this tablet. The tablet will also feature a special interface with a digital assistant named Marusia, which is programmed to entertain kids with stories, music, and games.

Samsung Galaxy A Kids or Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite Kids edition is priced at RUB 14,990 (approx Rs 15,500) in Russia. It is currently available to purchase only in Russia via the official Samsung online stores and retail stores in the country. However, the company has not yet announced any plans to launch the tab in the Indian market.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A Kids features an interface designed especially for children that includes more than 20 educational games and apps. It also packs parental controls for limiting access and configuring the type of content available to children. The tablet comes with a shock-resistant case to protect it from accidental falls.

The tablet features an 8.7-inch TFT touchscreen with reduced bezels. The display offers a resolution of 1,340×800 pixels. It is powered by a 2.3GHz octa-core chipset, which is likely to be the MediaTek Helio P22T processor and offers 3 GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card.

In terms of camera, it features an 8-megapixel primary camera at the back and a 2-megapixel camera for selfies. Samsung Galaxy Tab A Kids is a Wi-Fi-only tablet that also supports Bluetooth v5.0 connectivity.
