The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has confirmed the launch of Redmi Note 12 Pro in India on January 5. The smartphone will debut alongside the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus, which is confirmed to feature a 200-megapixel camera. Xiaomi has also confirmed that the Note 12 Pro 5G will come with an OIS-enabled (optical image stabilization) primary camera to capture stable videos and still photos.
Redmi India took to Twitter and shares the launch details of the upcoming Redmi Note 12 Pro smartphone. Additionally, the tweet includes a link to a landing page with some smartphone specifications.

Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G specifications (expected):
According to the reports, the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G would feature a 6.67-inch OLED display with a Full-HD+ resolution along with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device would feature an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC processor paired with upto 12GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage.
In terms of optics, the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G may come with a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera on the back. For selfies and video calls, the phone is expected to include a 16-megapixel front camera.
Although the company has not specified any details about the battery, it claims that Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G users will be able to get a full day’s worth of charge in 15 minutes.
