Redmi 10 Prime launched in India with 90Hz display and 6000mAh Battery: Know price and specs
Chinese electronic brand Xiaomi has launched its new affordable smartphone Redmi 10 Prime in India on Friday. The new Redmi phone comes as a significant upgrade over the Redmi 9 Prime that was launched in August last year. The phone comes with a 90Hz display, MediaTek Helio G88 SoC, and a huge 6,000mAh battery. The smartphone has been launched in the country in two RAM configurations and the price starts at Rs 12,499.

The phone features a center hole-punch display with thick bottom bezels. The Redmi 10 Prime comes with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The display also carries a 90Hz adaptive refresh rate, which means that the screen can switch to different refresh rates such as 45Hz, 60Hz, and 90Hz refresh rates. The new Redmi 10-series phone is equipped with an octa-core MediaTek Helio G88 SoC that is paired with up to 6GB RAM. There is also support for RAM expansion for up to 2GB. The phone runs MIUI 12.5 based Android 11 right out of the box.
In terms of photography, the Redmi 10 Prime offers a quad-camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies and videos, the phone also carries an 8-megapixel selfie camera sensor at the front. In terms of fuel, the Redmi 10 Prime packs a 6,000mAh battery that supports 10W fast charging using the bundled 22.5W charger and up to 9W reverse charging.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, Infrared (IR) blaster, FM radio, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Redmi 10 Prime price in India has been set at Rs. 12,499 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. The phone also has a 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option that carries a price tag of Rs. 14,499. The Redmi 10 Prime will be available in Astral White, Bifrost White, and Phantom Black colors and will go on sale from September 7 through Amazon, Mi.com, Mi Home stores, Mi Studios, and major retail outlets across the country.
