Ranveer Singh honor to get the best actor award for ‘83’

Bollywood star Ranveer Singh has bagged Dadasaheb Phalke International Awards for ‘Best Actor' in the prestigious award ceremony held on Sunday (February 20). The star-studded night honored the talented artists for their outstanding contributions to Indian cinema.

Ranveer Singh won the best actor award for '83', a sports drama film directed by Kabir Khan. Based on the India national cricket team led by Kapil Dev, which won the 1983 Cricket World Cup, the film's story and dialogues were co-written by Kabir Khan, along with Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan, Vasan Bala, and Sumit Arora.

After winning the award, Ranveer Singh posted a heartfelt message on social media.

He shared a picture with the award and wrote, “Honoured to receive the ‘Best Actor’ award for ‘83’ at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2022. Thank you for the love @Dpiff_official (sic).”

Aside from this, at DPIFF 2022, Kriti Sanon won ‘Best Actress’ for Mimi, Vicky Kaushal-starrer Sardar Udham won ‘Critics Best Film’, ‘Best Film’ went to Shershaah, and the Rupali Ganguly-starrer Anupama won ‘Television Series of the Year’.
