Ranbir Kapoor promotes uncle Rajiv Kapoor’s Toolsidas Junior, film to premiere on Netflix on May 23

Late actor Rajiv Kapoor’s last film ‘Toolsidas Junior’ is all set to premiere on Netflix on May 23, the film was released in theatres on March 4. On Wednesday, a video was shared by filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker in which Ranbir is seen playing snooker with the young actor Varun Buddhadev.

Sharing the video on Twitter, Ashutosh Gowariker wrote, “Get ready as KAPOOR JUNIOR cues up #ToolsidasJunior Coming to your screens soon! Movie releases on Netflix on 23rd May (sic).”

The sports drama set in 1994’s Calcutta, journeys through the life of a snooker champion played by Kapoor, who loses his heart after losing an important match. His son, played by Buddhadev, takes it upon himself to bring his father’s name back to the winner’s list.

Directed by Mridul Mahendra, the movie is a sports drama that will feature Sanjay Dutt, Rajiv Kapoor, Dalip Tahil, and Varun Buddhadev in key roles.

The film is produced by Ashutosh and Sunita Gowariker under their banner Ashutosh Gowariker Productions along with Bhushan and Krishan Kumar under T-Series.
