Ramesh Pokhriyal launches ‘MyNEP2020’ Platform of NCTE Portal

The Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ has launched the ‘MyNEP2020’ Platform of the NCTE Web Portal, on Thursday, April 1.

According to an official release, this Web Portal will be operational from April 1 to May 15, 2021.

The platform seeks to invite suggestions, inputs, and membership from the stakeholders for preparing a draft for the development of National Professional Standards for Teachers (NPST) and National Mission for Mentoring Program membership (NMM).

The exercise of digital consultation envisages participation of teachers, education, academics, and other stakeholders in preparing the documents on teacher policy for sustainable and positive changes in the Teacher’s Education Sector, the press release stated.

Ramesh Pokhriyal tweeted, “To prepare 21st-century teachers, MyNEP2020 portal has been launched by NCTE Delhi. Inviting nationwide suggestions/ inputs for National Mission for Mentoring Program Membership and National Professional Standards for Teachers before May 15 (sic).”

 

According to the Ministry of Education, an expert committee will extensively review the inputs collected during the consultation period and will finally formulate the drafts for public review. The comments by the reviewers from the stakeholders will then be used to prepare a final draft for notification.
