People In India Now Can Get Discounts At Restaurants Through Google Maps

Google Rolls Out Three New Features For The Indian Users.

Internet giant Google introduced three new features on Google Maps for Indian users on Thursday to give them improved dining experience.

One included feature is finding deals and claiming them at restaurants across 11 cities in India. People can discover the deals from the new “Offers” section in the “explore tab.” Google said, they had partnered with EazyDiner which is a table reservation platform and people will be able to find discounts and claim them at the restaurants from the cities like Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Goa, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Pune, Delhi, and Kolkata.
From Thursday, Google Map users will be able to get the exclusive EazyDiner Prime offers for 15 days. Through this offer, people get exclusive access across over 1,500 restaurants and will get at least 25 percent guaranteed discount on all of them.

The other two features, Google rolls out that, India- inspired “Explore” tab and a new “For You” experience.
Krish Vitaldevara, who is Director at Google Maps, said,

“We’ve heard that Indian Maps users prefer a more assistive and visual browsing experience that is easy to access. To reflect this, we have a redesigned, India-focused Explore tab, the For You feature, and dining Offers.”
He added, “This will help Google Maps users discover a new side to their city, whether looking for things to do around town, getting offers on dining out, or getting recommendations that are personalized to their unique tastes.”

The “Explore” tab is to give suggestions on dining, events. Looking towards the interactions of the Indian people, Google added seven new shortcuts to the “Explore” tab: petrol pumps, ATMs, restaurants, shopping, offers, hotels, and, chemists. With the help of machine learning, Google will identify the best suggestions across these categories.
On the “For You” tab, users can get the information on trending places, new restaurants, and personalized suggestions relevant to their interests.
