Odisha asks Bengal returnees to quarantine themselves

Bhubaneswar, April 20 (IANS) The Odisha government, here on Monday, asked all people with travel history to West Bengal in the past 28 days to inform the local authorities and quarantine themselves at home.

The Health Department asked the West Bengal returnees to inform the local Sarpanch, Block Development Officer/Tahasildar and isolate themselves at home.

The decision has come after 10 people of the Bhadrak and Jajpur districts with recent travel history to West Bengal tested Covid-19 positive.

With 13 more people testing Covid-19 positive on Monday, the coronavirus tally in Odisha has reached 74. Of the 13 new cases, five each are from Bhadrak and Jajpur, two from Balasore and one from Sundergarh district.

With this, the total active cases reached 49. While 24 have been cured and discharged, one from Bhubaneswar died due to the disease.
