MS Dhoni Birthday: Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, and others wish on Dhoni’s 40th birth anniversary
The cricket fraternity and his fans on Wednesday wished to former Indian captain, MS Dhoni, on his birthday. The veteran cricketer turned 40 today, July 7.
Team India skipper Virat Kohli wished his former captain, MS Dhoni, on his 40th birthday on social media, as he posted a picture from the 2011 World Cup final where he is seen with Dhoni. He wrote, “Happy birthday skip”.

Former India all-rounder Suresh Raina, who announced his retirement from international cricket on the same day as Dhoni did, tweeted a photo montage of the duo.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took to Twitter to wish the former skipper, calling him a “legend and an inspiration”. “A legend and an inspiration! Here's wishing former #TeamIndia captain @msdhoni a very happy birthday. #HappyBirthdayDhoni,” BCCI tweeted.

Dhoni, who made his international debut against Bangladesh in 2004, went on to play 538 matches across formats during his 16-year-long career.
During his 16-year-old career, Dhoni played 90 Tests, in which he amassed 4,876 runs at an average of 38.09. He also played 350 ODIs in which he has scored 10,773 runs at an average of 50.57.
