Man City warn Foden over beach football pictures: Report

London, June 3 (IANS) Phil Foden has been reminded by his team Manchester City of his responsibilities after the young footballer appeared to break guidelines by playing football on the beach.

As per a BBC report, the 2017 U-17 World Cup winner was pictured kicking the ball around and had his photo taken with several people on Sunday.

Earlier, City defender Kyle Walker had reportedly apologised to manager Pep Guardiola after breaking lockdown rules imposed by the government as a precautionary measure against the spread of coronavirus in the country.

Walker had confirmed reports that he had broken social distancing rules when he went to visit his sister and later went to his parents’ place.

The English Premier League season will resume from June 17.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur winger Son Heung-min has stated he is ready for the Premier League after completing his mandatory military service last month.

He served a short time in the South Korean military after initially being given a two-year exemption for helping the country win the gold medal at 2018 Asian Games.

“I couldn’t say everything that I’ve done but I really enjoyed it. Those guys were nice. The three weeks were tough but I tried to enjoy it,” Son told SpursTV.

“The first day, we don’t know each other so it’s a bit weird but soon we got to know each other. We spent every day together in one room, 10 people.

“We were very close, working together, we helped each other so the time was fantastic.”
