Kejriwal urges paid leave for employees

New Delhi, March 22 (IANS) Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday urged all employers to provide paid leave to workers, including domestic helps, saying it is not only a compassionate gesture but is essential for the economy to survive.

“We are providing 72 lakh people free ration, doubling pensions. In addition to this, I urge all employers to provide paid leave, including to domestic helps. Not only is this a compassionate gesture, it is essential for our economy to survive,” the Chief Minister tweeted.

The national capital is going for a lockdown from Monday and the government has asked to provide paid leave to all the workers.
