Jio Network Down: #JioDown trends on Twitter as users face connectivity issues

#JioDown is trending on Twitter today, just a day after the massive Facebook outage that took WhatsApp offline for almost seven hours late on Monday night. At the time of writing there are almost 4,000 reports of issues with Jio connections on the Internet outage tracker DownDetector, and rising quickly.

The most reported problems by the users is ‘No Signal’ followed by ‘E-mail’ issues and ‘total blackout’ respectively.

Reliance Jio’s official customer support handle, @JioCare, is filled with complaints about no network from users on Twitter. Jio subscribers from different parts of the country are reporting issues with the Jio network. One generic response that the JioCare handle is giving primarily to people with network issues is, “We regret the inconvenience caused to you. You may face intermittent problem in using internet services and making or receiving calls/SMS. This is temporary & our teams are working on the same to resolve it as soon as possible.”

Downdetector’s map of reports suggests the outage is not limited to one area but all over the country with complaints clustered around Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Indore, and Raipur.
