Ishaan Khatter finishes shooting for Indo-Pak war drama ‘Pippa’

Actor Ishaan Khatter on Monday said that he has finished filming for his upcoming war drama movie ‘Pippa’. Directed by Raja Krishna Menon, the film also stars Mrunal Thakur and Priyanshu Painyuli.

The actor took to social media to share the news. Sharing a few stills of his look from the film, he wrote expressed gratitude to be able to be a part of an ‘excellent’ team. “Filled with gratitude for the experience of this film. It’s been a dream to work with a team as excellent as this one. Humbled and brimming with love. This is your Captain Balram Singh Mehta signing off from #Pippa. See you in the cinemas soon,” he wrote in his caption.

The actor plays the role of war veteran Balram Singh Mehta in the film. The film is touted to be a heroic tank battle film about Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta who fought on the eastern front during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971 with his siblings.

The film is based on Brigadier Mehta’s book The Burning Chaffees. It is titled after the Russian amphibious war tank, which is popularly known as ‘Pippa’. The film is produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur. The music is by AR Rahman.

The film is scheduled to hit the screens on December 9, 2022.
