Indore continues to bear COVID-19 brunt

Bhopal/Indore, April 10 (IANS) With 41 new cases of coronavirus in Madhya Pradesh in the last 24 hours, the number of patients in the state reached 426 by Thursday night while the death toll has reached 33.

Health department officials said Indore continued to lead the tally 235 out of 426 corona patients. In the last 24 hours, 22 new cases have been reported in Indore.

Four persons tested positive in state capital Bhopal. With this Bhopal cases now stand at 98, including 50 health department employees and 12 policemen.

With the death of two corona patients, including a doctor in Indore on Thursday, 33 people have died in the state so far. They include 23 in Indore, five in Ujjain, two in Khargone and one each in Bhopal, Dewas and Chhindwara.

This epidemic has spread to 19 out of 52 districts in the state. The new districts affected are Dewas, Dhar and Shajapur. The cases in the other district are: 15 in Ujjain, 13 in Morena, 12 in Khargone and Barwani, nine in Jabalpur, six each in Gwalior and Hoshangabad, five in Khandwa, three in Dewas, two each in Chhindwara, Vidisha and Shivpuri and one each in Betul, Sheopur, Raisen, Dhar and Shajapur. One corona infected patient is from UP.
