Indira Gandhi Birthday: Rahul Gandhi remember his grandmother on Indira Gandhi’s 104th birth anniversary

Indira Gandhi, India’s first woman prime minister, was remembered by many top leaders and others on her 104th birth anniversary on Friday.

Born on November 19, 1917, Indira Gandhi was the daughter of Jawaharlal Nehru – the country’s first prime minister.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi, NCP leaders paid tribute to Indira Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi called him one of the most promising Prime Ministers of the country. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted a tribute to him.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on Twitter, “I pay tribute to former PM Smt. Indira Gandhi ji on her birth anniversary.”

At the same time, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi also remembered his grandmother and former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi wrote in the tweet, “Indira Gandhi ji’s name is inscribed in golden letters among the most promising prime ministers of the country. Her biggest strength was to live among the people and share their joys and sorrows. Grandma, your courage always inspires you. Even today I find myself with you. Heartfelt tribute.”

Apart from these, NCP leader and Maharashtra government minister Nawab Malik also paid tribute to Indira Gandhi. He wrote in the tweet, “Many tributes to former Prime Minister of India Smt. Indira Gandhi ji on her birth anniversary. Her steadfast leadership and valor will be remembered by generations to come.”

She served as prime minister from 1966 to 1977, and then again from 1980, until her assassination in 1984.
