Google Introducing New Online Experience And Licensing Program In India, Google News Showcase

Google India is now rolling out their new Google News Showcase feature with 30 news publishers in India.
The Google News Showcase is a new news experience. News publishers can share their expertise and news through auditioned storyline experience after this program. This feature was launched back in 2020, and this experience lets readers get into more complex stories. It incentivizes and supports news publishers to spread high-quality content to platforms such as Google News and Discover. Through this program, the internet giant makes agreements with news publishers all across the globe.

The Google News Showcase started in various countries like Germany, Germany, Brazil, Canada, France, Japan, the U.K., Australia, Czechia, Italy, and Argentina. Now it is starting in India, including national, regional, and local news organizations. For now, the new feature is rolling out in India with 30 new publishers; like The Hindu Group, HT Digital Streams Ltd, ABP LIVE, India TV, NDTV, Zee News, Deccan Herald, Amar Ujala, Punjab Kesari, The Telegraph India, Indian Express Group IANS (Indo Asian News Service) and ANI.
Information is shared through a blog post on Google India by Sanjay Gupta, Country Head & Vice President, India, and Brad Bender, VP of Product Management. According to the post, the content from the Indian Showcase publishers in English and Hindi will start appearing in dedicated News Showcase panels in Google News and on Discover.
