Anupam Kher unveils poster of ‘Shiv Shastri Balboa’ with boxer Mary Kom

Bollywood veteran actor Anupam Kher unveiled the poster of his upcoming film ‘Shiv Shastri Balboa’ in the presence of Olympic medal-winning boxer Mary Kom.

Taking to Twitter the actor shared a bunch of pictures where he donned boxing gloves along with Mary Kom while posing for the camera.

The film’s poster shows Anupam as an old man who appears to have the spirit of a tiger behind his glasses. He is seen wearing boxing gloves and a dog is seen in the picture saying, “Really!!!” The text on the poster read, ‘Shiv Shastri Balboa’.

Sharing the pictures on Twitter, Anupam wrote, “Dearest #MaryKom #! Thank you for being amazingly gracious & releasing the poster of #ShivShastriBalboa. Your life journey is hugely inspirational. I am humbled & honoured to get the opportunity to wear #BoxingGloves standing next to you! आप भारत की शान हो (you are India’s pride) (sic).”

Directed by Indian American filmmaker Ajayan Venugopalan, ‘Shiv Shastri Balboa’ also stars Neena Gupta, Nargis Fakhri, Jugal Hansraj, and Sharib Hashmi in significant roles.

Last year, Anupam had shared the first poster of the film which featured him, the dog as well as Neena Gupta. They were seen stranded in the middle of a village abroad with cows grazing in the background. The film will be reportedly released in the English language.
