Airtel Deploys LTE 900 Technology To Boost 4G Coverage

To give users more robust and improved 4G coverage, Airtel deploys LTE 900 technology in the Delhi NCR. It will improve indoor coverage says Airtel.

Airtel currently has 264.58 million users in India and still among the top telecommunication brands in India. The headquarter of Bharti Airtel is situated in Delhi and on Monday they had announced that they upgraded its mobile network in Delhi-NCR and Airtel deploys LTE 900 technology on the 900 Mhz spectrum.

Delhi NCR is one of the largest and most dense telecom markets in the country. According to Airtel with the high propagation and reach of the 900 Mhz spectrum, it would result to increase full availability of 4G network across Delhi NCR.

To enhance the network capacity over the existing spectrum, the telecom major has been deploying network technologies such as pre-5G Massive MIMO and Carrier Aggregation. It is a part of their network transformation program.

Vani Venkatesh, CEO-Delhi-NCR, Bharti Airtel, said in a statement that, “As we introduce LTE-900, we will further step up our indoor network coverage. It will enable high-speed connectivity and HD quality VoLTE calling for our customers in Delhi,”.

However, Airtel has been using a mix of 2,300MHz, 1,800MHz, 2,100MHz, and 900MHz spectrum bands to deliver enhanced network experience to its customers.
